Maybe Tarantino’s revenge is not killing nazis burning them at a cinema. Its sounds pretentious reinvent the 2nd War and announce that it is his master piece, but for Quentin, it is not.
Know how to put all – or most of – yours marcs in movie different from all you’ve ever done doesn’t sound easy. But the tense talks in bars, or pubs and restaurants, the pop-nerd references to the 30’s movies fix perfectly in Inglorious Basterds.
It’s nice to take risks. Tarantino bet on a new form, and successfully played with his own elements and a excellent cast on this movie.
It’s hard to please a loyal public, even more when theu come from movies like Pulp Fcition and Reservoir Dogs, but the 7th Tarantino’s movie could not only be polemic, criticized by the overstatement. It’s not a movie that can be compared with others known Tarantino’s film, so it’s hard to measure its bigness.
The movie, like most of his films, is divided in 5 parts. The first, one of my favorites, shows what we can expect from Cel. Hans Landa, in a memorable and winning award, acting of the amazing Christoph Waltz. Sadic and sarcastic, he haunts jewish. The moving of the cameras maintains the exciting rhythm of the film. Aldo The Apache, The Bear Jew and his team give the movie that charming and beautiful violence typical of Quentin’s.
Inglorious Basterds is a reinvention of history. It must be even a little complicated and not please people who are not used to a cinematography talk and the Tarantino’s way, but it’s a really gift for those who really like cinema.
